OLYMPIA SM 2 VINTAGE TYPEWRITER WITH CASE A medium-sized portable typewriter made in Germany. This seems to be an early model from 1951. Elite No. 8 type style (11 characters per inch). Carriage shift mechanism. The burgundy crinkle paint finish looks beautiful with chrome detailing and embossed Olympia logo. The typewriter is very clean and in great working order, typing is smooth and easy. Like most Olympias SM from this period, the platen has hardened therefore we recommend using second sheet of paper as a backing. Complete with: - original operating instructions leaflet - it has some creases - carrying case - not perfect but fully functional - new black and green ribbon on original metal spools - original Olympia cleaning brush Please zoom in the photos and see demonstration video.
